  • I was working with Robin, today. And quite a few patients called in sick or cancelled there appointment. Robin then taught me a few structure of the tooth, name of the tooth. So that when I start school in September I would have a head start.
  • Robin taught me the tooth numbers and names. Quadrants 1,2,3,4 tooth number 1,2,3 are called Anteriors. Quadrants 1,2,3,4 tooth number 4,5,6,7,8 are called Posterior. In all quadrants, all tooth number 1 is known to be central incisor, tooth number 2 is known to be lateral incisor, tooth number 3 is known to be canine, tooth number 4 is known to be 1st premolor, tooth number 5 is known to be 2nd molar, tooth number 6 is known to be 1st molor, tooth number 7 is known as 2nd molar, tooth number 8 is known as 3rd molar or wisdom tooth.
  • The part of the tooth that is above the gums are called Crown, and the part beneath the gum is called Roots. The top of the tooth is called Occlusal. And the side/surface that is against the check side are called Bucal and the tooth side/surface that is against the tongue side are called Lingual. The front of the tooth are called Mesial and the back of the tooth are called Distal.
  • I've learned so much, from my co-op placement and I enjoy every minute, that I'm there.
